The WCC assisted other sportsman’s clubs in sponsoring a youth pheasant hunt. Here are comments from some of the attendees:

I would like to thank the Wild Life Conservation Council and The Arizona Game and Fish Department, and the High Desert Hunt Club on behalf of myself and my son Andrew Bedoy for the opportunity to hunt
pheasants at the High Desert Hunt Club. It is a great program for today’s youth to experience hunting and shooting sports. I didn’t hunt as a kid and did not actually start hunting till
my mid-twenties. Fortunately for me when I got into the military I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people who did go hunting and also my father in-law. Now I live for the outdoors and I
appreciate all of you who are helping me pass the knowledge and learning about conservation on to my children. I believe it is a very important part of our heritage to pass on to the next generation
because it teaches so many valuable life lessons like respect, patients, and self confidence just to name a few. Andrew had so much fun and talked about it for days, even sending pictures to our
family and friends in other states. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful program.
