Practice

We meet weekly in worship to be taught by God's word, to pray, to observe the Lord's supper, to celebrate God's love, to encourage one another, and to proclaim our faith.

We are a self-governing body. We appoint elders who oversee our teaching and practice.

We keep no denominational affiliation and welcome all to fellowship with us in the name of Christ.

We recognize no division between priest (clergy) and laity in ministry. However, we do recognize that certain people are called to and gifted for particular ministries by the Holy Spirit, such as evangelism, teaching, and preaching.

Membership at New Hope is open to anyone who has at some time demonstrated belief in Christ by a public profession of faith, repentance from any known sin, and baptism by immersion.

We seek culturally relevant ways to proclaim salvation in Jesus Christ throughout the Earth.

We seek to unite all Christians around the essential teachings of the gospel, yet allow for liberty of opinion in those things not essential to salvation.

We also seek to restore the practices of New Testament Christianity to the modern church as much as is possible.
